Priyanka Goyat
is a doctor by profession but a singer by passion, and one thing that’s common between the two is her determination towards her work! Priyanka completed her Dental Residency in AIIMS and later completed her Masters in Dental Surgery too. She is currently running her own renowned dental and skin care centre, Rejove Clinique in Delhi. However, while pursuing Dentistry, she found her inclination towards singing as well and didn’t resist herself in order to follow her dream. In the year 2016, she released her debut song Jimmy Choo, a party number sung in her own voice with rap by Fazilpuria. This song was recently featured the Bollywood movie FRYDAY, starring Govinda.

We were lucky enough to get in a conversation with Priyanka to find out how she manages to balance her carer and passion as well. Here’s what she had to say:

What inspired you to turn to music?
I was always inclined towards music from a tender age and found singing as a form of expression. I was always passionate about music and have sung for many religious events, community events, school fests and also competed at inter-college competitions/fest in Mumbai.

What gives you more satisfaction, your career as a Dentofacial Cosmetic Surgeon or as a Singer?
Definitely singer, it’s like a pinch of magic to my life!

What are your future plans in terms of your music career?
After my debut into Bollywood playback singing with the song Jimmy Choo featured as the title track in movie FRYDAY staring Govinda, I am now looking forward to more playback singing in Bollywood movies and albums too.

How do you balance between being a dentist and a singer?
Time management and goal setting are the keys. Luckily I have enough time to pursue both, and hence the balance comes naturally.

What advice will you like to give to women who want to succeed in more than one profession/career?
Passion for music helped to grow as a singer and quest for knowledge and learning more got me to the pinnacle of medical education and clinical expertise. There are two sides to every personality, one that is creative and the other one that is logical, striking the right balance was my key. I feel you can be anything you want to be, just put your efforts in that direction.

Recently, she has launched another groovy number Bang Bang with Bigg Boss fame, Rapper Acash Dadlani and featuring Mista Baaz. The song is all set to break the records of Jimmy Choo as it is already being acclaimed by music lovers.
